Breathable Backpack for Dogs [ZD]

This pack allows my dog to ride comfortably on my back. It is like a dog jacket with only front legs and it has adjustable straps to snug it to fit your dog. She likes being tall. She is a 12 lb Maltese mix. The pack is also comfortable for me.

This is an awesome backpack for my older/ overweight/3 legged Yorkie. He also really enjoys it so I think it’s pretty comfortable for him! The only thing I wish it had was a chest strap me, to help take a little of the weight off my shoulders and to keep the strap from sliding a little bit..... not that they do a lot but as with any backpack it happens.

We knew we were on borrowed time with our 14 year old sheltie and wanted to make some everlasting memories doing her favorite thing: hiking and playing in the creek. Because her little body was getting older, we knew she would need help. K9 sport sack for the win! She was able to hike about a mile before her little legs needed a break and she was very comfortable in the sport sack. Believe me, this dog would’ve told us off if she wasn’t perfectly comfortable. It was also comfortable for the wearer, even my young daughter was able to wear it with ease. I would recommend getting a bigger size than you think, she just fit in the sheltie size bag, but my other sheltie would never fit in it. We got to have our perfect vacation and she was able to fully participate. She made it one month after we came home from this trip before she crossed the rainbow bridge. We are very thankful for this product giving us the ability to enjoy every moment we possibly could.

I’m so happy I bought this backpack for Bailey. I bought it for her final size so I didn’t get to use it for awhile. As soon as she could fit in it (on a couple lift blocks) I started to take her for walks in it to get acclimated to it. Super easy to use and the straps are comfortable. I like that she faces the same direction I face. And she has only recently figured out that she can do face lick attacks. It makes me happy that I don’t have to leave her home when I go to ride the horse or the bike.

I bought this for my Westie who loves going on walks but struggles with the actual walking part due to bad joints. She is 25 lbs and I got the largest size. Length-wise its a little big, but durability-wise it's perfect. I really love this item. It's allowed me to continue taking my 5 year old Westie on walks without leaving her sister behind.

I purchased this backpack for my miniature dachshund in size S and it is absolutely perfect for her. She loves riding in the backpack and it feels very comfortable and safe. We like to take the backpack on longer walks and hikes. I would highly recommend!

I absolutely like this doggie backpack, not only Bc of its thickness, sturdiness but also because it is nice to feel my little 5 Lb. yorkie close to me and the fact that Knowing that she is safe is priceless.I tried Other back packs, including the frontward ones, but they are not as safe as this one.

This is perfect for my little pom mix- he’s 13 lbs and gets nervous in crowds. But now that he can see more than just ankle-height, he’s the happiest little doggo ever!

This bag took a few times to get the hang of getting my boy into it and onto my back. I have a heavy boy - Frenchie at 33-solid-pounds. He's like a kettle bell. He's also taller than most frenchies with an 18-inch back length, 17-inch neck and 25-inch chest girth. My boy also likes to stand, he's not much of a sitting dog, so in his bag he stands up a lot. The bottom of the bag has a nice solid block, which is perfect for my boy, since he likes to stand. If you've got a heavy pup I recommend having a friend help you put your dog on your back, or using the table method. The first time I went out, it was around 35-degrees cold outside so I was wearing a wool coat and had him on my back, biking. THAT WAS PROBABLY THE HARDEST BIKE RIDE I HAVE DONE IN A LONG WHILE. I was regretting it after 3 blocks uphill...SO MUCH SO, that the ride back, I opted for the bus back home. Second time I took him out (2 days later) it was a nicer 65 degree weather day and I didn't need to wear a coat. THAT RIDE WAS SOOOO MUCH EASIER! It took me a few times to get the hang of getting him inside the bag, (for him too) but by the time I did it 6 or 7 times in and out the bag - we both had it down to a science and its way less awkward. I'd say practice with your pup before you go out. The other thing about this is - if your dog likes to stand (like mine) be sure you don't mind your dog being above your head. They are meant to be positioned slightly above your shoulders anyway, but if you've got a dog that likes to stand - be sure you're not going to be bothered. On my second bike ride, my boy was more comfortable and I could feel him standing up taller and taller - at one point he had moved both paws to one side of my shoulder, so he was sitting over my shoulder hanging out. LOL. I didn't mind it at all, but my partner kept asking me if it was okay because it looked like it wasn't comfortable. Also, be sure to cinch so your pup is secure (not cut off) and thread the collar strap through the zipper loop and secure him to the carabiner. That gives you comfort that your dog won't suddenly jump out of the bag while you're riding or hiking. Also, I noted that the tag for the bag looked a little different than the actual product. the Lumbar strap is actually lower that shown. But also, the lumbar strap doesn't do much for me, since my boy stood about 90% of the time in the bag.

I got the medium size for my shitzu/Yorkie mix, he's getting old but still loves to tag along for any adventure and this bag is PERFECT for my little guy! It has great ventilation so he won't get too hot in the Florida heat and has plenty of room to add water bottles and clip on bowls. For the price you definitely get the quality. It's got great padding for your adventure buddy to sit or stand on and you'll be confident in him/her not falling out or jumping out!
