The only time they try and get out is if they have to go the bathroom they’ll stand up and whine but they will not try and get out if I go to my parents house , they have a long driveway. They will stand up and looked out the window. That’s the only time they try and get out of the buckets.

That’s not surprising based on the mesh and fabric materials. It’s also not a bad thing, as long as you’re not looking for an upright and stiff box design to hold your pup. Any dog can easily breach the bucket seat unless they are restrained at all times by a harness.
Great seat. It needs a little more structure though.

I bought this to give my shepherd the feeling of boundaries in the front passenger seat. I zip the front panel and console side panel closed when we ride down to the park and she seems to feel more secure. Easy to use with a pup seat belt clip. Adjustable size. My shepherd is 80lbs so this is just to protect the seat and provide spacial boundaries but this would be great for keeping a puppy or small dog in place during a ride. Waterproof, easy to clean. A little slippery on the paws due to the waterproof fabric, I recommend throwing in a towel or blanket but you could also fit a bed if your dog is smaller.

I have all leather interior and my dog not only sheds buckets but also goes to doggy daycare so she comes home covered in mud and other things. this has helped keep the mess concealed to one area in my car without making direct contact with my seat. i removed one star only because the insert on the inside has no way of being held in place so when she jumps into the car, it slides around and really has no purpose. The main zipper we use also broke so it is not quite as sturdy as hoped.

THe reviews dont do this product justice. I have been looking for weeks for a car seat protector fOr a large dog (35k but super long ) and everything lookeD bad in quality, small in size . This is THE ONLY one that stands on it own with the bars on the side and doesn't crumble, it fits the whole seat even a little more since my car is small. Also it doesn't hang in the air since straps are adjustable . Its thick and cosy and has a nice padded bottom that is removable for washing. It looks great and is great. Perfect value for money .

I have a puppy that has severe car sickness. As soon and she gets in the car she starts drilling like a facet and often vomits during the trip. It gives her more room to move around and lay down, then just sitting on the seat and best of all, it keeps whatever comes out of her contained. Plus, she is less anxious because she can see me and look around. The pad is nonslip, so she does not slide around it. It is easy to clean her mess. I always had dogs between 30 and 80 pounds no matter what I used they have trouble fitting on the sit and not getting thrown off it. This will help a lot with that because it gives a larger flat nonslip surface to sit on and side to keep them from falling over and catch them.

This product was easy to clean, if our dog had an accident because she was excited. All we had to do was to take out the lining wash and dry and it was ready to use again. The liner had a plastic backing so it protected the car seat, the dog and our car. It was easy to install. Basically slide in a few pcv pipes (which were included) strap it to our head rest and connect it to our seat belt and our dog was safe and contained whenever we traveled. Our dog was relaxed and enjoyed her car rides while in her car seat. Our dog was a boxer mixed, a medium size dog so she fit into the car set just right and it still had enough room for her to lay comfortably.

It holds my 60lb pitbull comfortably and with plenty of room for him to move around/reposition himself even with his favorite blanket. It was super easy to install and put together.
